Big Billy Robinson tops all PBA players in three departments
    April 1976

Mariwasa-Noritake's Porcelain Makers may not be among the leaders in the currently All-Filipino Conference of the PBA but its non-Filipino source of strength, the versatile Billy Robinson leads in three departments after some three playing weeks of PBA play.
According to the statistics compiled, the colored American who is married to a Cebuana, has chalked up an aggregate of 163 points in four games for an average of 40.75 points per game. Running a far second to Robinson is Danny Florencio, the acrobatic No.8 forward of U-Tex Wranglers who sizzled with 136 points in 4 games for a 34 point average.
Ironically, Israel Cisco Oliver, who first played for Mariwasa-Noritake but now dons the Concepcion Quasar TV Makers uniform and who is bruited about as Robinson's keenest rival for PBA honors was a poor third in scoring 32.67 points per game. Rounding up the top five scorers of the PBA were Toyota's sweet-shooting guard Francis Arnaiz with 115 points in four games for a 28.75 average and Loreto Tolentino of the N-Rich Coffee Creamers who tallied 86 points in three games played for a 28.67 average.
Crispa's two-time All-Filipino Sports Awardee William Adornado failed to make the cut off number of five with only 109 points scored in 4 games played or a 27.25 average.

Rebounds (a total of 4 games):

Robinson (21.25 rpg), Fernandez (15.75 rpg), Oliver (15.00 rpg), Ritualo (14.75 rpg), Guidaben (14.25 rpg) and Paner (13.25 rpg).
