NCAA Season 86 General Discussion Thread

The country's oldest collegiate league opened last saturday with a bang. San Sebastian staved off a pesky Letran squad for a 6- point victory. In the second game, San Beda crushed JRU.

Among to watch this season are the rookies. Letran paraded a 6'7" behemoth in Raymond Almazan. He is a quicker version of Mark Andaya. Excellent hands, great footwork and works hard off the boards. San Beda has the Fil-Aussie twins and former RP Youth cagers (6'6" Kyle Pascual & 6'3" Jaypee Mendoza).

San Sebastian and San Beda remain the teams to beat this Season 86.

    JRU is too overrated.

San Sebastian over Perpetual, 73-69. For the 2nd straight game, SSC trailed at the half and for the 2nd straight game SSC was pushed to the limit. You can see the difference without Jimbo Aquino. Awful field goal shooting despite controlling the boards.

Gilbert Bulawan was caught throwing a punch on a Perpetual player.

Yup, maling sport ang pinasok niya! Anyway, what's the equivalent penalty for this MANCOM headed by the Host School?

IINM, if a closed fist was thrown, whether it landed or not, that's an automatic ejection from the game and a 1 or 2- game suspension. Pag tumama yata anywhere above the shoulder, auto eject from the game and a review whether to suspend/ban from the rest of the season is invoked.

I stand corrected but that's what happened in years past. Just not sure if there have been significant changes on such acts committed that merit heavy penalties and sanctions.

Heavily contested game that could've gone either way in the last 20secs. Altas just have to bring that type of intensity every single game and for sure, they'll give everyone a run for their money.

"Why do you want this so badly?

Because they said I couldn't have it."

"What did he say to you to make you try so hard?

    Be the best...."

They (Atlas) don't have a deep bench. Talagang kakapusin sa end game.
