Banal played 5 for Xavier. He has transitioned to the 3 because of his ability to shoot from the outside.

Manguera was a teammate of Webb when they won the juniors championship for Zobel 2 years ago.

Paolo Rodriguez I believe came from La Salle Greenhills and is one of the walk-ins in the open tryouts years back. He was included in coach Tyrone's team in the Father Martin's when DLSU fielded two teams back in 2006 due to our suspension. I think he's around 6'1"-6'2" but plays the power forward spot, in which he is quite undersized.
One thing "the best" never do as they become more successful: slow down. Just not in the vocabulary of "the best". - Kevin Eastman, assistant coach, Boston Celtics (2004-Present)

Former DLSU Team B who played for different schools.

1. Allan Mangahas - MIT
2. Louie Abad - CSB
3. Joe Edwards - CSJL

This just means one thing. DLSU is deep even in Team B.

Just feel free to add up if you know more who came from their program.

Had a chat once with Cyrus Baguio. He told me he was asked to be in the team B of La Salle together with Gelig. His uncle, Ric Ric Marata, advised him not to sign and helped him look for another school. Taft's loss is Espana's gain.

Those were the days when we could have fielded 3 competitive teams because of the boatload of players we had. It was inevitable that some of them would opt to play for another school willing to give them a slot in team A right away.

And we never stop a player from transferring just for the sake of "hoarding" them. :D

Don't think that is quite accurate, Royal F. Ask Cyrus again, because La Salle wanted both Cyrus and Gelig, but something else got in the way, not a 'Team B offer'.

Lets just say, it wasn't meant to be. Even Al-Hussaini in a recent interview said he went to La Salle (Greenhills, for HS), but he was not accepted. He actually said why - his grades daw were not good enough. His words.

you sure about that? double-check your references. the beth celis article was not an interview with rabeh. it was all from an unidentified 3rd person. if you read it carefully, rabeh never said anything in that article. in fact, he was never quoted by the writer. "His words" my foot.

so i have the same question as blueatheart - what interview with rabeh are we talking about?*

mods, sorry for the OT.
We have gone the distance. AGAIN. AND AGAIN.

Play hard. Study harder. Team Ateneo.
