Compared to the funny things concerning* Bollywood movies, I'm OK with the funny things about Pinoy movies.*

Movies like Oro Plata Mata , Tutubi-Tutubi, Sister Stella L. , Tinimbang Ka Ngunit Kulang, ...yung mga short movies ni Kidlat Tahimik...

Yes, yes. These films are not funny. Funny thing is, we do not have enough of them. World Class! ;D

Seriously, though, I witnessed a similar incident in 2003. I went to the wake of a friend's father in rural Bulacan, and they hired a brass band to play throughout the wake and on the way to the church and cemetery. The band was playing funereal dirges first, but it seemed that they had run out of sad stuff to play, so they segued into a cha-cha medley, capping it off with the Lupang Hinirang... ;D

ah, the things they get away with outside manila ;D

in the lenten special of iskul bukul so many years ago, naalala ko na habang dahan-dahang nagmamartsa yung mga nagpepenitensya at naglalatigo ng sarili, umaalalay sa likod sina redford white, ritchie, mang tem-i, at ang escalera brothers at kumakanta ng makabagbag-damdaming bersyon ng "whip it," complete with synthesizer sounds.
