Just some thought about who is the greatest Blazer of all time!
For me it would be Sunday Salvacion. Knowing his work ethic and desire to improve every time makes him the best Blazer to me. I think CSB should give him honor by retiring his jersey. He is the first MVP coming from CSB and I really think he deserves it.
I echo your thoughts. And I second the motion of retiring his jersey. After all, he deserves it. He is CSB's first(of two) MVPs and he gave us our lone championship to boot. I had only seen games of him from 2002 and I can only wish I could see CSB's championship game of 2000. He even dunked twice during that 2002 semi-final game versus PCU. I root for Ginebra because Sunday plays for them(just wishing he would get more playing time). The only thing I dont really like is that I never see him watching CSB's game. Atleast Jondan Salvador was present at the NCAA opening(Sunday was also invited).Originally Posted by bossman
Other CSB greats include Salvador(Purefoods), Al Magpayo, and Jay Sagad.
p.s. whatever happened to the latter 2?

If you just saw the heydays of Sunday you would be in awe. Seeing it live, it's so exciting. He can keep you guessing. One play he will just shoot a triple, next play he would be dunking in the face of the defenders. What I love about with Sunday is the in spite of his stature during that time, he is very humble!Originally Posted by Get_Blazed
Siguro because being provinciano is one factor why he is humble. Sayang underused siya ng Ginebra.Originally Posted by bossman
One Blazer who is not afraid to show how he feels and is notorious for being in fights is Jondan Salvador. Though he is enjoying more success in terms of playing time and exposure in the pros.

Speaking of great Blazers, where the heck is Jay Sagad? He seems to be the NCAA MVP that is just at the tips of every one's tongues in hoop trivia discussions.
As to the topic, I'd say it would have to be Sunday Salvacion too. He's had the best career thus far in the PBA and he was the MVP the only time St Benilde won the NCAA championship.

Jay Sagad is now in the US with his family.Originally Posted by Joescoundrel
Sunday's role with Ginebra fits him, he has evolved in the pro ranks as an outside gunner.
Jay Sagad from the moment Welcoat picked him was not primed to play well in the pros, undersized siya as a big man and the Dragons even paid him higher than Jay-Arr Reyes I believe.
How about another great Blazers big man, forgot his name though, same team as Salvacion, can't recall if the surname is Capati or Canapi. I think it was Ron Capati. Where is this guy now? He was one heck of a force underneath, a taller, stronger and more athletic version of Jerwin Gaco.

Ronald Capati. Nasa Liga Pilipinas na yata siya. He used to play for Toyota in the PBL.Originally Posted by Joescoundrel
