New Wave was also called then as Modern Rock in the early 80s.

Ito yung panahon na ang usong inumin ay yung "The Bar" tapos haluan mo ng konting Gin. And then sabayan mo ng New Wave. Ayos SOLVE NA! ;D

In the 90s, FM radio station 99.5 RT used to have a program every fridays from 9pm to midnight devoted to New Wave Music.

    ^^^ Simple Minds.

Actually, the lead singer is on record as saying that that is his least favorite song in all of their catalogue.
In Season 74, it was all about a phenomenal Salva-tion that brought about a Slaughter.

Thanks salsa. Yeah, it's Simple Mind. Heard it on the radio last night and I had difficulty recalling the band.

Ironically, that song made them famous in the US, a market which they failed to penetrate for several years. Maybe the lead singer did not like it because it was written by someone else and was offered first to Billy Idol. Simple Mind was just the 2nd or 3rd choice.
