Last time out, Miami in 6 back in 2006, this time I'll go with Dallas over Miami, 4-2.

Questions abound in this finals. Will Dallas be able to handle Eastern type defense?

How will Miami react to Dallas' superior ball movement?

How can Miami stop a much more improved Dirk Nowitzki? Will Haslem be enough?

The ultimate outcome of this series will be dictated by the refs and Stern. ;D

after miami pulled off game 3 in dallas and led the series 2-1, an interesting bit of trivia made the rounds of the internet c/o espn.com -- which is basically that, ever since the NBA instituted the 2-3-2 finals format in 1985, the team that won game 3 after splitting the first 2 games went on to win the series -- and the finals -- 11 out of 11 times that that's happened.

that's a pretty daunting prospect for the mavs.

then again, there's always a first time. ;)

True. As Henry Ford once said, "History is bunk."

Now a new bit shows up: Teams that have won Game 5 have gone on to become champs in 19 out of 26 finals series.

The Mavs can't take comfort in or be held hostage by historical trends. The only historical fact that is relevant and proven is that they can win in Miami's home court.

Deliver the sunday punch now, Mavs. This is your time. And probably your last with this crew.

This is Dallas chance, and turned back the tables over Miami, in 2006, the Heat clinch the championship on the Mavs home floor, I hope the Mavericks do the same and win the title in front of the Heat's fans.

But if ever it reaches Game 7, There is always a first time in history, the last time a team won Game 7 of the finals on the road was in 1978, from there, the home team always wins Game 7.

Dallas is the 2011 NBA champion.
But the happiest team is the Cleveland Cavaliers.
