Yeah I know, itís 1 month too late, but at least after one month we all now have a birds eye view on who are the best players for this season.

We have seen two game winners, courtesy of Alex Cabagnot.

Unlikely players leading the efficiency rankings(Carey, Thoss, Devance)

Cardonaís one man show for Meralco, same for David with Powerade.

and KGís slump, wait does he know that the season has already started, maybe he thought itís still preseason because Kerby, Ping and Rafi hasnít played any single game yet.

Sorry James Yap and Bmeg fans(reigning MVP), but Rico Maierhofer is currently the best player for your team:

Solomon Mercado (Rain or Shine)

vs. San Miguel 26 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds, 1 steal

Any extreme competitor relishes the opportunity to play against the best and Rain or Shine guard Sol Mercado wants to grab the chance any time one comes along.

That is why Mercado shone the brightest when the Elasto Painters played the San Miguel Beermen last Sunday in the 2010-11 PBA Philippine Cup, coming up with sterling numbers that made him the unanimous choice as the Accel-PBA Press Corps Player of the Week for the period Nov. 1 to 7.

Meet Me Halfway

We are now in the halfway mark of the season.

Last week is not as entertaining as the 2 buzzer beaters of Alex Cabagnot, but we saw a lot of come from behind victories, close games and upset wins. It is also the last week for Asi Taulava, Kelly Williams and the Sol Mercado before joining the Smart Gilas National Team in China.

For now, the Top 3 is who we expect it to be, but the the bottom three except for Barako Bull is kinda surprising(Philippine Cup and Fiesta Cup Champions).

Has Alex Cabagnot always been this good? It didn't seem so in his first three seasons in the PBA. Has he just found a good situation in San Miguel or is this nothing more than a fluke? Will he be able to keep it up all conference long or will he run out of gas?
