Teams and players to watch-out:

ADMU - Team with formidable line-up in paper. 5'11 Norman Penola, 6'5 Vince Fran, 6'0 BJ Cipriano and CDO twin towers to name a few.
DLSU - 6'7 Norbert Torres and 6'5 Papot Paredes.
UP - 6'3 Mike Silungan and 6'8 Alinko.
SBC - 6'5 Kyle Pascual, 6'3 Jaypee Mendoza and 5'10 Mau Villahermosa.
FEU - 6'10 guy and FEU farm team.
UST - No idea.
ADU - 6'8 Manraya

Sana ito na lang ang i-cover ng solar kesa clear men something. Malabong may player na mapunta ng UAAP and NCAA dun sa programa nila. Those names above are sure thing in UAAP and NCAA soon and of more interest to college basketball diehards.

clear men's is a commercial/reality show. the purpose is more on helping aspiring provincial players
getting noticed by pbl and pba.

but i agree, sana mapalabas sa c/s9 or pwede ring sa gma.

This is a very interesting season at maraming banggaan ng katawan ng 6'5 and above. Sana puro weekends ang laro at mahirap manoud ng weekdays.

Saka namiss ko na manoud ng run and gun team ng La Consolacion. Nakakainis na nakakatuwa. ;D

OT: I think the Clear men show will be helpful to those players not in any UAAP and NCAA school, IMO too much exposure na ang nakukuha ng schools dito and sobra na yata kung pati team B nila televised. Its really good na mabigyan din ng konting break ang mga players from lesser known schools and from the provinces and clear men definitely helped them a great deal compared to nothing at all.

just my opinion. peace

FEU: african 6-9, Escoto 6-6, Ambohot 6-6??, Tinte 6-6??, Bringas 6-3 (older brother of arvie), Foronda 6-5/Latonio 6-2 (former letran knights), Romero 6-3 (former team A member) and etc....

I thought 6'7" Vince Tinte had up and left the FEU B Team already? Although that isn't such a big loss since there is still the 6'7" Jojo Ambohot there.

What on earth is FEU going to do with the likes of Tonton Bringas, Anjoe Latonio and Clarence Foronda?

Ateneo Team

JP Erram, 6'6" center-forward
Paul Siarot, 6'5" forward-center
Ivan Enriquez 6-3
Norman Penola 6-0,
JV Dumrique, 5'7
Jason Escueta, 6'5" center
Vincent Fran, 6'5" forward/center
Nico De Chavez 6-2
Charles Tiu 5-10
Bon Jovi Cipriano 5-9

match na match sa San Beda

La Salle, Norbert Torres at Papot Paredes lang

LION
08-04-2009, 08:28 AM
Dave Semerad - 6'5 PF
Anthony Semerad - 6'4 SG
Jessmar Villahermosa - 5'11 PG
Jaypee Mendoza (acl)- 6'3 SF
Kyle Pascual - 6'5 C

Definitely an all-star Team Behold!

Competition within FEU was not the reason why Sanggalang and Maiquez left the school for Baste. They transfered to the Recto NCAA school because their handler is now the team manager of the Baste school. The team manager in turn is supporting his Kabalen who happens to be the head coach of the team. The top players from this province are destined to play for Baste in the near future according to a team official from another UAAP school.

Ateneo 89 - Patts 73

Once Again Ateneo Glory B showed why there one of the best teams in this Father Martin Cup Tournament.
Lead By New Recruit from Canada Norman Penola who lead all scores with 16 and Jason "Jumbo" Escueta with 12.
Ateneo started off with a 16-0 run with Norman providing the quick lead hitting 2 three's in a row for the blue eagles. and defensive stops by JP Erram. Erram is also a new recruit and a upcoming Big who comes from Cagayan and hopefully join team a in season 73 along side Jason Escueta. Second Half Ateneo found themselves up by only 4 points. But the Blue Eagles wouldnt let them catch up or get the lead. If Norman continues hit hot shooting, Jason's inside presence, Erram's shot blocking and also to name a few veterans on the team Alec Rivera, Carlo Balmoceda, and Charles Tiu. Ateneo has a big chance winning this tournament.

Leading Scorers:

Norman Penola-16
Jason Escueta-12
JP Erram-11

-ONE BIG FIGHT !!

UP played without silungan magaling yung wierzba playmaker talaga.. naglaro yung aprikano nila it seems 6-6 to 6-7 ang height niya i dont know his name pero sa back ng jersey niya MBAH yung nakalagay then they have also a couple big men Lao and Paulino. on perpetual side mga galing ng PCU.

on ADMU-DLSU impressive yung jason escueta at JP Erram ng ateneo mas magaling pa kay justin chua and norman penola did not play. impressive din sila Erram and alec rivera at napansin ko sa kanila ang dami nilang malulusog na players siarot, fran and escueta.. on DLSU outside shooting yata ang caliber ni norbert torres. papot paredees is quite good as well as reyes.. maganda yung match-up nila paredes and erram

FEU-SBC tamaraws played without tolomia medyo physical yung game between yung twins ng beda against Foronda and Bringas. escoto played also a couple blocks and 8-9 rebounds impressive din. Latonio, romero and their lefty guard around 6 feet led FEU in offense.. nice match-up yung mga big men both sides mas lamang at mas magulang yung big men ng FEU Foronda and etc..maraming big men ang FEU kulang sa guards De Guzman, Escoto, Eman, Ambohot, Foronda, Paguia, bringas and the guy wearing no. 6 around 6-5 hindi pa naglaro yung 6-9 nilang aprikano... pwede bang guards naman ang kunin ng FEU..hahahahaha.

UE-Arellano isa lang masasabi ko batak maglaro yung team B ng arellano parang team A caliber mga beterano na magaling din yung 2 nilang nigerian nila both of them 6-7.. nakita ko na rin yung razon ng UE around 6-5 mataas tumalon marami din silang typical player (except outside shooting) ni val acuna kaya lang mga 6-3 to 6-4...

semifinals na yata next week ADMU-Arellano then FEU-UP...

Why must it always be an Ateneo-Arellano semifinals? Why...? Its been this way for the last three or four FMC conferences.

And let us all be reminded that the FMC quarterfinals are "officially" known as the Gabby Severino Quarterfinals since it was the peripatetic Glory B coach that pushed for a quarterfinals round... ;D

Not surprised. Mas beterano ang line-up ng FEU at Arellano compared sa UP at Ateneo.

FEU B and Arellano B will dispute the Fr Martin Cup Second Division championship in a winner-take-all match at the La Consolacion College Gym in Manila at 4:00PM today, Wednesday, October 21.

FEU walloped the inexperienced UP B 69-38, while Arellano came from behind to outlast Ateneo B 61-53 in the Final 4 to advance to the single-game championship.

Ryan Mendoza had 20 points to lead the B Tamaraws while former San Sebastian Staglet Ramil Ortuoste added 16 with four three-pointers. FEU opened the game at 21-6 and never looked back. 6-foot-7 African import Alinko Mbah led the B Maroons with 15 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks.

Arellano needed to get over three quarters of bad basketball to get past Ateneo. Down as much as eight at one point, the B Chiefs finally took control in late in the third quarter at 41-31 behind their own 6-foot-7 African import Chris Mammi. Arellano went up as much as 51-38 and kept the B Eagles at bay with sharper ball movement and better recognition of the open man in transition. Mammi led all scorers with 21 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks. Jason Escueta had 15 points for Ateneo, while Alec Rivera added 10.

Arellano B survived a searing end-game rallye by FEU B to take the FMC Division II championship 62 - 57, their theirs straight FMC Title this year, at the La Consolacion Gym in Manila.

With 6'7" African import Chuck Mammi working hard on both ends of the floor, the Chiefs built as much as a 48-32 lead late in the third period.

FEU however came storming back on the turned-up plays of former NCAA players Ramil Ortuoste, Tonton Bringas, Anjoe Latonio and Clarence Foronda. Bringas and Foronda manned up on Mammi and drew the ire of several Arellano frontliners for his rugged and tough play. Ortuoste fired away form outside. Bringas knotted the count at 49-all midway through the fourth period.

Mammi however had a one-man 9-0 run to give the Chiefs the 59-50 separation with time under three minutes. Ortuoste and Bringas again tried to bring FEU back into it along with Ian Macaso but fell short.

Ortuoste led all scorers with 22 points including five treys, while Mammi had 20 points to go with 13 boards and four blocks.

FEU FERN B cruised past Lasalle Greenhills 97 - 83 for their first ever Fr Martin Cup championship at the La Consolacion Gym in Manila.

FERN was in control all throughout behind the efforts of Mark Carino and Chris Gelig on the firing end, and the rebounding and inside defense of Will Pearson.

Greenhills tried to come back, putting on several small runs, the last bringing the count at 62-58 late in the third period behind Mark Vito and Richie Villaruz.

Carino and Gelig however kept Lasalle at bay with timely hits from outside and quick transition strikes to keep the count at 83-70 midway through the last period.

Several Villaruz miscues and unforced errors sealed the fate of Lasallle just when they were threatening to make one last comeback at 85-78.

Carino and Gelig had 18 points each for FERN while Villaruz had 15 for Lasalle.
