AdU over ADMU.

Can't* recall the final scores. The Falcons were comfortably ahead by double digits after half time but terrific outside shooting by Tonino, Balmaceda, Sumalinog, Nico and #44 (BK Cipriano?) allowed them to come close by a basket at the end of 3Qs. However, the Falcon bigs imposed their will and dominated the boards enabling them to score on the break. AdU's Austin even had a follow up slam of a fastbreak miss by his teammate. Their athletic wing (whose name I can't recall) also had an emphatic dunk off a defender.

Random onservations... Adamson unveiled a tall backcourtman, about 6'2", who showed good defense by keeping up with the quicker Balmaceda... I felt Gonzaga played well for the Eagles, often leaving Austin behind from the top of the key and either converts a lay up or dishes out to the 3-point area... the 2 Nicos showed flashes of brilliance with De Chaves making a strong case for a utiliy man's role... he seem to be all over the court and does the little things and even picked up Austin on defense and never allowed the latter position in the lane... I see hjim being a more athletic Allan Evangelista... Sumalinog also played ok... Heard from the Blue side after AdU's # 12 harrased Balmaceda: "Hoooy #12! Lukdit mo!"

DLSU over STI.

The Archers are such party poopers. I thought the game was a good opportunity to watch John Mbe's game but the Archer's defense never allowed coach Vic to run his plays. It was over as earlier as the 1st Q, which ended at 18-9. Maybe coach Vic should have filed a complaint against LA for picking the pocket of his boys at will. I counted 3 steals before halftime. Or could even charge him with counterfeiting for executing 2 sick fake passes one of which ended with him throwing a floater over the dumbfounded Mbe. DLSU led, 44-18, at halftime.

STI tried valiantly to get back to the game with "Jake Cuenca" and Noynoy Crisostomo leading the charge. They managed to trim the lead to less than 20. It was DLSU the rest of the way. Coach Vic was very frustrated because the team played ok daw the past 2 games.

Notes: Ferdinand had 2 slams posterizing Mbe, who's fast becoming the Archers' poster suki. Mbe seemed to be rushing his shots taking off even before he gets squared for a shot. But in one instance, he went for one power hop, gathered himself, and then went for a simple shot off the glass for two points. He has the tools but the screws still needs to be tightened up there. Maui and LA were the best players for me. LA disrupted the STI offense while orchestrating their plays on the otherhand. When he needed to, he scored off forays to the lane or from stop and pop. STI's #12 was Jake Cuenca (courtesy of Manong Joe) for most of the game but had some Pekto (again courtesy of Manong Joe) moments going solo like a throughbred with "tapa ojo", only to be stymied by 3 defenders along the way. Crisostomo was ok for some parts but had some bone headed plays that frustrated coach Vic. Quote of the game "Ambibigat ng mga imported ko" (ouch!)... 2nd best quote during the game "MAy mga 20% discount na yang mga yan pare" (from Manong Joe again :D)

STI has a good team. Too bad they ran into a DLSU team that were running on all cylinders

Fr. Martin’s Cup: Archers Outlast Olympians
by green_minded

Smarting from a heartbreaking 55-56 hairline setback to a resurgent UP Fighting Maroons quintet last week, the DLSU Green Archers notched their third victory in four starts, as they buckled down to business, walloping the STI Olympians with a murderous 74-52 rout Saturday in the ongoing 2008-09 Father Martin Cup Open Division Basketball Tournament at the La Consolacion gym in Manila.

First quarter action saw DLSU jumping the gun as they zoomed to an 8-0 advantage, with L.A. Revilla leading the charge early with four markers and an assist to the dismay of their opponents, who sued for time with 5:33 to go. When play ensued, a brief STI uprising was just not enough as Maui Villanueva and Bader Malabes joined hands with Revilla, closing this chapter, with the Archers on top, 18-9.

A well-balanced scoring binge could best describe the next canto, with nine Archers contributing their share, spearheaded by Jovet Mendoza, Revilla, Villanueva, and Ferdinand, who all chipped in four markers each, as the first half closed its curtains with DLSU in total command at 44-18, punctuated by a Gab Banal rejection as STI attempted a buzzer-beater jumper.

The Archers, with loads of momentum still on their side, greeted the Olympians in the succeeding quarter with two straight field goals from Mendoza and Banal, both of which came from a Revilla assist, padding DLSU’s lead to eighteen as STI called for time with 9:07 left. With the Olympians slightly clawing back to contention, a putback, and a steal with a conversion to boot by Banal, a Jed Manguera trifecta, and a Villanueva jumper, once again ballooned the Archers lead at 59-30. As STI, scored on the next two possessions, DLSU talked things over with 3.6 seconds to go to map a final play. A strong baseline drive by Joshua Webb ended the quarter at 61-34.

In the last chapter, the 2007 National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (NAASCU) champions finally displayed why they are perennial NAASCU finalists, exhibiting a much improved defensive stance, limiting the 2008 National Champions to only thirteen points, but to no avail, as Webb made the final touches, handing the Archers the lopsided victory.

The scores:
DLSU (74) – Villanueva 13, Revilla 12, Banal 10, Mendoza 8, Webb 8, Malabes 6, Bagatsing 4, Ferdinand 4, Manguera 3, Chandumal 2, Co 2, Rodriguez 2
STI (52)

Points Per Quarter:
DLSU 18 26 17 13 = 74
STI 9 9 16 18 = 52

Mike Silungan is fast becoming the story line of the Fr Martin Cup. The talented 6'4" swingman nailed three treys in the payoff fourth period to lead UP over San Beda 84 - 78. Silungan finished with six treys and 22 points to lead the Fighting Maroons.

From a 71-69 count late in the fourth period, Silungan hit back-to-back treys to make it 77-69 for UP time down to three minutes. San Beda just couldn't find an answer on their end as Silungan also kept finding open teammates for nifty assists along the baseline.

In the second game, Lasalle leaned on gunner Bader Malabes to edge Jose Rizal-B 66 - 63. Malabes nailed the game-clinching jumper and two freethrows to seal the win for the Green Archers; he finished with 13 points. New 6'8" African recruit Etame Joe had 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Heavy Bombers.

In the final game of the afternoon, FEU showed its UAAP rivals what they might be in store for in Season 72 with a sound 75 - 59 thrashing of Adamson. Cameroon recruit Pipo Nuondoo had a great overall game and got plenty of help from UAAP veterans Paul Sanga, Mark Barroca, JR Cawaling and Reil Cervantes. Nuondoo led all scorers with 12 points and eight boards. Comeback kid Leo Canuday had three treys to lead the Falcons with 12 points of his own.

FEU will have a towering and highly athletic and versatile frontline for Season 72, given all the good things shown by the likes of Cervantes, Nuondoo, Abaring, Aguiluz in the Fr Martin, the return of Vinluan and that 6'9" African boy waiting in the wings. They've also got a tall corps of swingmen in Cawaling, Sanga and Tanuan. They may need to look into replacing Fernandez and Adolfo at the combo-guard spots though, because Escaminiano, Barroca and Knuttel are on the small side if they will be asked to play both 1 and 2. Garcia however is a pure pointguard gem and should contend for the ROY award. They look headed to the FMC Open title.

i guess coach glenn wants to adapt having 2 pointguards in their first 5 it seems effective naman it seems Garcia and Barroca will be the staring guards then Knuttel and Escaminiano will coming off the bench especially against DLSU they need guards can cross the ball at the half.... can't wait to see Garcia-revilla and Barroca-Salamat match ups..hahaha

Ateneo is fielding in a mixed team of Glory B and UAAP players.

UAAP players include Nico Salva, Justin Chua, Vince Burke and Tonino Gonzaga. Bacon Austria is also on the lineup but has not seen action due to a niggling injury.

Among the Glory B players are Eman Monfort, Nico De Chavez, Vienna Panganiban, Pau Dizon, Enzo Katipunan, Carlo Balmaceda, Alec Rivera, Frank Golla, Jason Escueta, Vincent Fran and Conrad Fernando.

FEU has the following UAAP players in their FMC Open roster: Aldrech Ramos, Reil Cervantes, JR Cawaling, Paul Sanga, Mark Barroca and Jon Alisbo. Former UAAP players Jun Vinluan and Sani Abaring are attempting comebacks.

Can any of the FEU faithful tell us what became of Marlon Adolfo? He is not in the FMC, and not in the PBL either.

Former Ateneo Glory B player Carlo Lastimosa is now with St Benilde, while former Adamson Falcon Mico Pacheco is now with JRU, as is former UST player Hector Badua.

UP Maroons outlast Mapua
The University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons enjoyed back to back victories by beating the Mapua Cardinals 84-76 on Feb. 8 in the ongoing Fr. Martin Cup Basketball Tournament at the Arellano Gym in Legarda, Manila. The win by the Diliman-based cagers followed their triumph over San Beda last Jan. 25. Playing without center Magi Sison for the third straight game due to injury, and other key players Martin Reyes, Woody Co & Miggy Maniego because of academic commitments, the Maroons overcame a tough Mapua squad under new Head Coach Chito Victolero.
UP got off to a fiery start anew, anchored on their full court press. The Maroons enjoyed the lead throughout the game, going up by as much as 14 points. However, the Cardinals fought back to cut the deficit to two, 44-42 midway the third quarter. UP responded with a 21-14 run as Mike Silungan erupted for 15 points in the fourth period to seal the win.
UP drew good performances from Mike Silungan, Migs De Asis, Dioni Hipolito, Arvin Braganza, Kevin Astorga, Andrew Marfori and Mike Gamboa.
The win moves UP to an impressive 5-1 win-loss record. They will play the JRU Heavy Bombers on Feb. 28, 1:30 PM at the La Consolacion Manila Gym. Another victory will get them closer to a final four appearance.
The Fr. Martin Cup is a league organized by Ato Badolato, Joey Lim, and Kurt de Guzman with Aric del Rosario as commissioner.

FEU and San Sebastian remain the only unbeaten teams in the ongoing Fr Martin Open. UP has only one loss as of last weekend and might make the Final 4.

Those who are not regular watchers of the FMC - especially UAAP fans - need to see Mike Silungan of UP in action. NCAA fans may also want to check out the new faces on the San Sebastian team.

Pareng LION, Hec atually played for Team A in Season 71 but looked totally lost on the court. Too bad because his one-on-one skills was probably second to none in that team. His got good handles and has good upper body strength that allows him to convert even against bigger players after leaving his man behind.

Mark Parala was a very promising player about 2 season back. I felt he was a shoo-in the following season but he got side tracked by issues off the court. Too bad because he was doing quite well in the classroom until he got distracted. Afte that, he was never the same. I hope he gets his desire to play back in JRU.

Father Martin's Cup: JRU-B def. UP, 76-74.

Quarter Scores: 12-17, 32-35, 54-56, 76-74.

Ariel Vanguardia was able to break Aboy Castro's system by neutralizing Mike Silungan and imposing the height advantage of the Heavy Bombers over the relatively smaller Fighting Maroons. In fairness to UP, however, they were able to keep the game very close until the latter part of the second half when Vanguardia was already able to break Castro's system.

The Heavy Bombers clearly exposed the Fighting Maroons' main weakness: too much dependence on Mike Silungan and the clear lack of a good supporting cast to Aboy Castro's Fil-Am recruit. Neutralize Silungan and the opposing team will definitely have the edge over UP.

Well, based on what I saw yesterday, the UP squad was apparently complete. Mike Silungan, Martin Reyes and the rest of the team were there. However, it was only Silungan, Reyes, Mike Gamboa (who was "owned" by Mark Cagoco), Arvin Braganza, Mark Lopez, Woody Co (who fouled out of the game), Magi Sison (who also fouled out of the game), Kevin Astorga (who was brutally "abused" by the tall African center from JRU and even by the relatively taller Marvin Hayes by creating very obvious mismatches), Carlo Gomez and Diony Hipolito who saw action for the Fighting Maroons yesterday.

UP depended too much on Mike Silungan. Whenever JRU got the opportunity to get close or equalize or even have the upper hand over UP, Aboy Castro immediately puts back Mike Silungan into the game to help the Fighting Maroons' cause. Silungan was doing it virtually all by himself up to a point that the rest of the Maroons (e.g. Martin Reyes, Mike Gamboa, etc.) were just reduced to mere "extras" in the game. Ariel Vanguardia was able to break Aboy Castro's system by clearly instructing his wards (I was seated right behind the JRU bench) to (defensively) "strangle" Silungan (his instruction was "sakalin niyo si Silungan"), which was successfully done by the Heavy Bombers and made them victorious over the Fighting Maroons.

^ Batangueno, Chris Acqualiful is a strongly built 6'5" forward and some 210 pounds, meaty limbs and strong shoulders, like a small David Robinson. Perhaps you might have confused him with Austin Manara of Adamson, a rather lean 6'6" forward.

As for the UP defeat, the Fighting Maroons need to figure out what to do when Mike Silungan is not playing well. He once again tried to carry UP but fell short against the veterans of JRU.

Speaking of JRU, if their own African import Etame Joe is cleared for Season 85 then the rest of the NCAA has a problem. Etame looks easily 6'8" with very long limbs and a lot of athleticism and speed. He will not overpower anyone like Sam Ekwe, but his length and height and quickness will make it very difficult for regular Filipino forwards and centers to match up.

RockLobster
03-01-2009, 04:25 PM
Notable in that game was the usual hustle and athleticism of Mark Lopez. We could hardly get rebounds but Mark was fighting for them every play, especially in the dying minutes. There was an instance where it looked like an easy recovery for JRU, but Mark came flying in to tip the ball, save it on the baseline, and throw it back in play.

Having said that, Mark's recovery went for naught as UP couldn't execute on that second chance. I guess that was part of the story in that game. Regardless if it was Mike Silungan or not, to be able to execute and make good with the possession was something the Maroons failed to do consistently, most especially in the dying minutes. Defensively, I think it was the Bombers' back court and not their big men that did UP in. JRU's guards were either converting wide open threes or driving and dishing and making plays. The Maroons' perimeter defense was lacking, and the Bombers' took advantage.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with the other teams' standings, except maybe the undefeated San Sebastian Stags and FEU Tamaraws. So what happens next? UP would've gone straight to the semifinals if they won. What do they get with a 4-2 win-loss card at this point?

Thanks, Sir. Para kasing sa tingin ko kay Acqualiful ay medyo payat siya. Again, that was just me.

Still, one question lingers in my mind right now: Where in the world did these teams (Informatics, which has Chris Acqualiful; JRU, which has Eteme Joe; EAC, which had Emmanuel Mbe) get their African imports? I mean, how were they able to recruit these seemingly athletic African nationals for their respective teams?

Although he may be lacking in offense, Mark Lopez is one very good defensive option for UP. Maganda ang depensa ni Lopez (I still remember how good Lopez's defense on LA Revilla was during the dying minutes of the UP-DLSU game) bukod sa meron malaking mismatch in favor of UP whenever he plays the point guard position. Of course, Lopez's rebounding is also something that is a plus for the Fighting Maroons.

I do not know with you and the others who were present during last Saturday's game but I was still thinking that it was Mike Silungan was the major factor for UP's defeat at the hands of JRU. Clamp down on Silungan just like how Ariel Vanguardia instructed his wards and it would spell trouble for the Fighting Maroons. UP simply cannot be too dependent on Silungan. When Silungan gets into trouble, the rest of the team, most especially veterans like Martin Reyes, should step up. Aboy Castro should avoid doing the same mistake that Leo Austria did in Adamson- every play is dependent on how the center (Ken Bono in 2006; Mike Galinato in 2008) would perform; clamp down on the center and Adamson is in big trouble (UP did it successfully when Kevin Astorga was able to handcuff Mike Galinato during the first UP-Adamson meeting in Season 71).

Sorry, off-topic na 'to kasi puro UP and discussion, pero last na. :)

It's good to point out how being over-dependent on a player like Mike can affect the team game. But I do think the whole team knows he's not playing until 2010, including the players themselves. I agree that the tendency to do so is there, but I would think the coaching staff know how to keep it in check.

That being said, I still think it was execution. We never had Mike Silungan in the past, and even with the few wins tucked under coach Aboy's belt, it was good execution (and defense, of course) that won us games, not over-dependence on any player in the roster.

Ok, to get back on track, what happens from hereon? It seems San Sebastian and FEU are shoe-ins for the final four. Which teams are vying for the two other semis slots?

As for the UP defeat, the Fighting Maroons need to figure out what to do when Mike Silungan is not playing well. He once again tried to carry UP but fell short against the veterans of JRU.

Speaking of JRU, if their own African import Etame Joe is cleared for Season 85 then the rest of the NCAA has a problem. Etame looks easily 6'8" with very long limbs and a lot of athleticism and speed. He will not overpower anyone like Sam Ekwe, but his length and height and quickness will make it very difficult for regular Filipino forwards and centers to match up.

I think Norbert Torres is nw a 6'8" in height. Prho lng cla ng hayt n Etame Joe. Mgkcing tangkad lng cla.

JRU-B won today, Mar 8 2009 versus the Adamson Falcons, 62-61. It was a neck-to-neck battle in the final period with the falcons leading by as much as 8 pts i believe. It was a three-pointer by Je Agas that gave JRU the upperhand. :)

I just forgot which JRU team is going up against SSC-R, and another JRU Team will be going up against FEU. Sunday yata next schedule.

Here are the Final 4 matches for the FMC Open: In Group A it will be San Sebastian versus Jose Rizal B; in Group B it will be Far Eastern versus Jose Rizal A. This marks the first time in a long while that the A and B Teams of one school are in the Final 4 of the FMC. The Stags and the Tamaraws enjoy twice-to-beat advantages as they both swept their respective groups.

Ariel Vanguardia coaches both teams, which brings up an interesting question: If BOTH JRU teams advance to the Finals, which side will Vanguardia coach? :-X

San Beda need to scout if they want to make it 4-peat which I think mahirap mangyari given the players that they've lost. Weird pag JRU A and B maghaharap either sa Championship or for the 3rd place. San kaya magcocoach si Ariel. I think sa B. Andun yung big import nila plus si Hayes.
FEU naman I think darkhorse yan next year sa UAAP.

For all the things one would discover from scouting, this event does not serve its purpose. It's too far, too early from the collegiate wars. In fact, very few hardcore watch it. Dahil alam nila na yung summer ang tamang panahon.

May entertainment value ang mga larong ito, pero for scouting?

Just to stress a point, lahat ba ng player sa line-up ng SSC-R sa torneong ito ay eligible sa NCAA S85? Not even the Sebastinians can answer that with an amount of certainty.

Pero sa summer, may isang liga na ang pwede lang maglaro ay yung eligible sa darating na collegiate season. Claro kung sino ang pwede. Ayun, mag scout na sila!

Weird pag JRU A and B maghaharap either sa Championship or for the 3rd place. San kaya magcocoach si Ariel.

Assistant Coach Lito Vergara can always coach the other team.* He is capable of coaching his team to victory over Vanguardia's.* JRU management may eventually have to ask who is better for the team, Vanguardia or Vergara or someone else? San Beda would prefer Vanguardia...*

Also, although having many talented players is a problem any coach would want, selecting the final 15 will be key to ending or prolonging JRU's title drought.* Coaching becomes a more serious issue since their recruitment program appears to be rather healthy.

MHO.

^The post was in reaction to the comment that SBC scout the JRU teams in yesterday's semifinal games. As it turned out, both teams lost.

No offense meant to both SSC and FEU. I agree that they will be serious contenders next season in the NCAA and UAAP, respectively. SSC has some talented recruits along with a new coach, I'm sure they'll be raring to perform better this season. The same holds true for FEU with gaining more experience in the PBL the inclusion of Nuondo in the lineup.

Tams cop 4th Fr. Martin Cup
Daily Tribune
By Elech Dawa

03/23/2009

Far Eastern University turned back San Sebastian College yesterday, 81-70 to clinch the 4th Fr. Martin Collegiate Open Cup at the St. Placid Gym of San Beda.

Shooting guard Mark Barroca fired 24 points as the Tamaraws completed a nine-game sweep of the event backed by Magnolia Beverages, Molten, Basketbolista and www.gameface.ph.

Barroca, co-skipper of the Rajko Toroman-mentored Smart Gilas Pilipinas team seeking a berth in the 2012 London Olympics, got full compliments from rookies Ryan Garcia and Pipo Noundou who fired 18 and 10 points, respectively, as they showed readiness to do battle in the UAAP cage wars that start on July 11.

“We’re happy to win here but we haven’t proven anything yet until we can win the UAAP championship,” said FEU coach Glen Capacio, a many-time all-defensive team member in the PBA.

The Tamaraws had smell of victory mid-way of the third canto when they built an insurmountable 53-36 lead. The Stags unloaded a 14-6 run led by Jimbo Aquino to cut the lead at 50-59 at the start of the fourth quarter.

But Barroca, the high-leaping Noundou and the sweet-shooting Garcia, a former RP youth team standout, conspired in a blistering counter attack as FEU finally sent the Stags eating dust.

San Sebastian, mentored by former PBA MVP Ato “The Atomic Bomb” Agustin, absorbed its first loss after going nine straight games without a loss to settle for second place.

FEU WINS 1st FMC TITLE

Far Eastern University finally got a big monkey off its collective backs by winning their first ever Fr Martin Cup championship over tough San Sebastian College 81 - 70.

Playing in front of a highly animated crowd at the San Beda gymnasium, the Tamaraws got an early lead thanks to PBL veterans Mark Barroca and JR Cawaling. But the Stags came charging right back to seize the lead 17-16 at the end of the first period on a layup by forward Mark Bringas.

Starting in the second period though, it was an all-FEU show as Barroca, Cawaling, Riel Cervantes and Pipo Nuondoo all worked the backdoor and cross-screen plays to put the Tamaraws ahead at 41-31 at the lemon time break.

That lead ballooned to as much as 53-36 midway through the third period as new Coach Ato Agustin looked bamboozled by the size and athleticism of FEU.

In the payoff fourth period, the Tamaraws went on a full charge to make it 59-38 and were never seriously threatened. San Sebastian came within 59-50 midway through the quarter but just didn't have enough to complete the comeback. Jimbo Aquino, the Stags' top scorer, went a sorry 3-13 from the field, and it seemed only Bringas came to play.

Barroca led all scorers with 24 points to go with his seven rebounds and seven assists, while former RP Youth Team standout Ryan Roose Garcia had 18 including going 4-6 from trey range.

Bringas had 14 points and 11 rebounds for San Sebastian but got little help from the rest of his teammates.

Thanks for the info! Tagal ko na hinahanap kung saan malalabas yung results ng FMC :) Anyway, i think magaling nga sobra ngayon yung FEU ang daming nilang players with experience na or should i say buong team na nila experienced na.

FEU Line up: 2 from RP developmental pool; 5 from Harbour Centre then 1 RP Youth Team tapos si Pipo Nuondoo is a known player sa Cameroon di ba? :) Yung sa Stags sino ba yung nasa line up? Sorry maka-FEU kasi ako kaya yun lang alam ko haha:)

OT: WOW tropang texter is still alive, and he still cant read. ::)

BTT: Baste is composed of veterans Jimbo Aquino, Pamboy Raymundo, Raymond Maconocido, Gilbert Bulawan. Joining the stags are rookies pascual, abueva, and two more rooks who didn't suit up for FMC. Among the sophomores it was Mark Bringas who shown vast improvements on both ends.

FEU had the following players:

UAAP veterans Jenz Knuttel, Mark Barroca (recent PBL PG Flex Cup Finals MVP), Paul Sanga, JR Cawaling, Riel Cervantes, Aldrech Ramos

UAAP returnees Sonny Abaring, Jun Vinluan, Glenn Eguilos

Newcomers Ryan Roose Garcia, Pipo Nuondoo, Jon Manalo

And a whole bunch of guys who were unremarkable throughout this tournament

San Sebastian had the following players:

NCAA veterans Pamboy Raymundo, Ray Maconocido, Ron Del Rio, Jon Semira, Jimbo Aquino, Gilbert Bulawan, Dave Najorda, Mark Bringas, and Zulueta

Newcomers Ron Pascual, Jun Abueva, 6'9" Jericho De Guzman

Also a whole bunch of guys who proved unremarkable in this FMC

In the end the Tamaraws proved to be the bigger studs over the Stags. Essentially the Tamaraws swept through this entire tournament.

San Sebastian tried to do to FEU what it had done to all their other opponents in this FMC and failed. Looks like new coach Ato Agustin will have to acclimate himself quickly to the college game, as he used timeouts too early and was not getting much help from his assistants. FEU burned them on the same play over and over - cross-screens that led to backdoor opportunities for every one from Barroca to Cawaling to Ramos.

When the Stags tried to press they met the ball too high and there was no recovery. All the FEU guards had to do was look to the wings when the trap came and what was supposed to be a San Sebastian press soon always turned into three-on-two or four-on-three transitions for FEU.

On a positive note, Bringas and Pascual played well but just could not get everything done for the Stags. With Aquino marked on defense, the Stags became predictable and had to rely on the hustle of Bringas and Pascual just to get scoring and rebounding.
