2005 Letran Knights. Composed of 6'7 Mark Andaya at center. 6'4 Eric Rodriguez and 6'3 Aaron Aban at forward. Guard combo we have the 6'2 Jonathan Aldave and 5'7 Boyet Baustista. Alternates were 6'4 Jonathan Pinera and Bryan Faundo at center/forward. That was RJ Jazul and Kojack Melegrito were rookies then. Plus reliable sixth man 5'9 JP Alcaraz. That was the best roster of Letran Knights when they won the title.

Inteligence is not the main issue I pointed out, but the quality of education a school offers, which reflects on the students/players. If a person cannot answer a simple question in english, what does that say about him as a student of the institution? Or about the quality of education the school offers for that matter? We need not go far. Just as simple as answering in english, which is as good as that the medium of instruction of almost all educational institutions in the country

Sinong Chris? Kung si Chris Calaguio, by 1999 nasa San Juan Knights in the MBA na siya.

In 1999, Calaguio was at the middle of a tug-of-war between a PBA team and the San Juan Knights, at sa bandang huli pinili niya maglaro in the MBA. He was given a brand new Honda-CRV back then as an incentive for signing with San Juan.

Is Calaguio still w SMB? Seems that his playing days are almost over. Spending too much time as bench player with new and younger guys slowly edging him out of the limelight.

While 2 of his contemporaries in the LC Knights '98 team in Raymundo and Miller still waxing hot w PF and Alaska respectively.

sir, mukhang makapaglalaro na si chris calaguio ulit. he is activated from the reserve list, replacing mike cortez in the smb lineup.

UAAP champion Ateneo had a powerful lineup in 1988 but we were clobbered by NCAA champ baste in a champions league-type tournament. turns out all 12 members of that baste team eventually went on to the pba. among the names i remember are-

quilban
solomon
bade
art dela cruz
alvarez
hatton
macaraya
teves
garrido(?)

can anyone identify the others? i feel this lineup is better than the 4-peat baste team of adducul, tanigue, ocampo, brix encarnacion, calpito, daep, barbosa, etc.

Kung hindi lang nasingitan ng Paul Alvarez led SSC Stags nung 1985, a string of 5 straight titles na sana.! 8)

Pareng danny, sino ba roster niyo nung time na yan?

I recall one RLplayer during the mid-late 80's emceeing a TV talk show...forgot his name and another guy standing just about 5'6" pero ang liksi.

Kung nagstay sana sina Paras, Magsanoc at Dindo Pumren sa Lions Den, wala sana yan 28 yr drought na yan.

For me, kung hndi lng sa line up ng baste nung 90's (adducul and co.) , d best lineup ng San Beda RL eh ung batch 96-97. Kumpleto for each position, PG - Bajar, Sison, meron pang isa nakalimutan ko lng; SG - Ralph Rivera, Wendell Senerpida (idol! 3 point specialist), SF -Kerwin McCoy, Jaymar Rivera; PF - Norman Gonzales, Francis Mercado (rookie season nya ata), C- Dino Manuel, ung isa nakalimutan ko per i remember I read that he is from Cagayan de Oro. Remember cla ung tumalo sa Letran Knights nung Final 4 with Calaguio, Miller, Viloria and a young Kerby Raymundo on their lineup. ;D ;D ;D

For me, its the 1997 Letran Knights composed of Calaguio, Miller and Raymundo who was then a rookie. Sad to say then only finished 3rd behind san beda and sscr. 1998 was also a great roster which was the same in 1997 minus Miller when they won the championship. The Raymundo-Prior tandem in 1999. The Enrile-Bautista tandem in 2003 and Bautista-Aban in 2005.

Many are saying that the Lim-Ang tandem during the 80's was the best ever for Letran.
