June 28 (Saturday) - Araneta Coliseum
8:00 PM Philippine Christian vs. Saint Benilde

Since no one is starting, let me get the basketball rolling.

It's the first game in the NCAA for coach Gee Abanilla.* There are roughly 6 vets and 9 rooks for this "new look" squad.* They've won and lost some good games in the summer leagues and tune ups.* How will they fare in the NCAA?

The dolphins are out of the icebox and are about to start their last NCAA campaign in a long while.* So expect this as a sort of rallying cry for the dolphins.

Your analysis and matchups please!

expect pcu to run. the only legit BIG they have is Belga, They have tall wiry guys but wont be a threat in the post. The Belga-Porras match-up will be fun to watch ;D

Thanks for taking the initiative. Though I have no real analysis on this, since I am not familiar with the PCU squad these days, Im hoping we can pull one out on Saturday. There would be no TV coverage for this game, so I hope we would al watch this live. Ako manonood(kahit alanganin yung oras)! ;D

Sadly, Porras would not play this season. Reports were, it was due to academic reasons(Like CSJL's Fauuuuundo). Siguro hindi nya nameet yung 2.0 mark.

Like King_stag mentioned, sayang, maganda sana yung match-up nila ni Belga in the post. Though advantage ni Belga he can rotate to the outside which could draw the opposing big man out and leave the paint undermanned.

I do not have figures, but know that CSB's biggest problem is the ceiling of players. Porras was the biggest we got and now, he wont play. Im thinking the biggest right now is Umlas, Johnston, and Manlapaz, all at around 6'4. I just dont know about the new faces, though.

Starters? Hmm, who could tell?

Mine:
C-Archimedes Daviiiiiiid ;D
PF-Illie Johnston
SF-Jacob Manlapaz
SG-Garri Keith Sevilla
PG-Gelo Montecastro

Archie could even play an inside-outside game that would either draw big men out to guard him, or will leave him open to shoot that threeeeee. ;)

yep, i was beside him during a tune-up game. Im sure because we have the same length ;D
maybe he looks tall because he's kinda wiry and he got the hops, but Im really sure he's not more than 6'1"

Really? lets check then. For now, I give you the benefit of the doubt sir. Still, thanks. Do you have recent encounters with the PCU Dolphins? Parang mystery yung squad nila satin ngayon eh, very much unscouted. ???

I think they will win a couple of games. big Beau can create mismatches at the post, if the help D commits he has a finisher in Navarro (legit 6'3") that can finish with his array of shots, amparado (if he's still around) is a streaky shooter. If these guys click and rooks can contribute this team is upset-capable ;D

Were their credentials for posing a threat on the title stripped when Castro and Espinas left after their 2006 Finals apperance? :D

Exactly. Before they won the title the group was a bunch of unknowns (exclude rob sanz) that was rotten in the bottom of the standings ;). But it's a VERY long shot if they can duplicate that season, but i might be wrong too ;D

My bet is that Archie David will have a breakout season this year for the Blazers. He's one of my favorite CSB players due to his versatility as a big man who can either pick and roll or pick and pop because of his ability to finish strong to the basket and knock open jumpers. It was a good start for the Blazers especially winning a come from behind game and sana tuloy-tuloy na rin ito in gunning a final four slot.

Playing like a team and hanging tough even against the slightly taller PCU Dolphins, St Benilde came out with an opening day win against the returning PCU. Gelo Montecastro and Archie David played steady all throughout and took the fight to the Dolphins. Rust was evident in the PCU game as the team looked every bit like they haven't played competitive ball together for a long while.

David really proved that experience is key, he knocked down a couple of big shots from the field, even some bug threes. He was also good down at the line, making crucial free throws at the dying moments of the ball game.

Montecastro has really stepped up big time. This kid is a slasher and is not afraid to break the defense of the much bigger dolphins. Maganda mga lay-ups nya even may bantay.

This new guy, Chuck Dalanon almost made a succesful dunk at the break. Well, technically dunk parin yung since he touched the rim with both hands yun nga lang umikot muna bola bago bumaba. :D

The change in the attitude of the Blazers was evident when they came out aggressive after the halftime huddle trailing 12 points. They never gave up and they came out with a come from behind win against the Dolphins. The game was very competitive from the start 'til end. This CSB team CAN RUN. Their big comeback was sparked by big runs on the break and most of them were completed whether it be a 3-on1, 3-on-2, or a free break. Benilde is Love! ;) ANIMO! ;D ;D ;D

Like I said, the Blazers came out very much agressive and determined after the half, and controlled the tempo of the game. They kept running, and that became key to this CSB win. I could have sworn I saw fire in their eyes. All thanks to coach Gee. :)

No good shots here since everytime things get exciting we would be jumping like hell. Like when Archie David would drain those insane jumpers, or when he brocked Navarro in the crucial dying seconds of the game, or when Dalanon finished the dunk at the break, or whenever Montecastro would do his crazy slashes to the basket... You get the point. Its just that, how I hope I got shots of those moments to share to all. :D

The run and gun style can be attributed to coach Gee's exposure to Red Bull's plays which is if you have the opportunity to run the break, go as fast as you can before opposing defenses set up. I think CSB has the tools to do this and this will be one of their main weapons this season 84 so rebounding will be the key as well for the Blazers in order for them to win ballgames.

And tehy need to run. They always fall to the defense in the half-court set. Siguro kulang sa maturity for the part of the Blazers. Rebounding-wise, I think we are really at a disadvantage, since we are undersized. There are a lot of possesions wherein we would be poised to get the rebound but PCU's bigger guys would tip the ball over.

Minsan may immaturity din sa fastbreak, kahit 2-on-1, minsan pinipilit and di pumapasok. CSB's Sevilla did this last night. :-\

I wish Illie Johnston would be consistent with his shots and attack the basket more since he has the ability to draw fouls from any opponent.

David is a revelation both in offense and defensive rebounds. Wala ako masabi, siya ang pag-asa natin this season!

+1. Bottom line is that Benilde needs to run, run, run. PCU's press prove advantageous for us since mas nakakabreak free sila Montecastro to run. We would lose sa halfcourt game. Rebounding palang, patay na. :-\

I really like Illie Johnston's hustle and tenacity. Problem is, he has a hard time completing plays. Nakakapasok pero hindi nakakascore eh.

David is the heart and soul of the Blazers in the court. Great leadership, great shooting ability, can rebound, has hustle. Whats not to love? :D

Montecastro really stepped up big time. I hope macarry over to sa next games ng Benilde. I saw this coming. Parang Delonte West. ;D

Go Benilde!

And they need to contain Mark Kong from doing his usual slash-and-siko moves to the basket. Medyo magulang yan so ingat sila. Keep up the tenacity in DEFENSE and be patient in OFFENSE are the keys to victory! ;D

Manonood ba kayo Perps game, sirs?

Youre right, sir AB. We just have to run! Pano ba tumatakbo defense and offense ng UPHD? Kung defense naman di nagkulang ang Benilde eh(minus napansin kong number 16 medyo walang hustle sa rebounds), pero wala talaga tayong halfcourt offense pwera kay Archie who finishes well. ;)

This will prove to be the biggest test for the Blazers early in their campaign to regain respect and following in this league. We know how good the Knights are, even without veterans Faundooo and Cabonce, Letran would always be a formidable team with Coach Alas' patented press, they would surely give the Blazers a run for thier money.

But we all know that Benilde had just recently beaten Letran in the concluded Filoil Flying V tourney, so the question stands: Can it be done again?

Matchups and analysis please. :)

CSB surpasses win total from 2007, stops Altas
by Josef Ramos

COLLEGE of Saint Benilde sustained its strong opening stance in the endgame to fend off the pesky University of Perpetual Help Altas, 61-54, last July 2, 2008 in the 84th National Collegiate Athletic Association men’s basketball tournament at the Pasay (formerly Cuneta) Astrodome.

In a game where both baskets seemed smaller than usual, the Blazers and the Altas combined for an atrocious 7-of-24 shooting clip in the last canto. The Blazers’ never-say-die attitude, however, gifted them their first winning streak of any kind since 2006, and already doubled their win total from last year.

“I’m very happy. The fighting spirit of my players is now there,” said Blazers mentor Gee Abanilla. “Despite the fact that we could not execute our plays in the first three quarters, my players did not give up and stayed fighting.”

Forward Jacob Manlapaz led CSB with 14 points, while opening-game hero Archie David scored 13, including a critical three-pointer that pushed the Taft-based outfit ahead, 57-52, with 2:46 remaining in the final period.

The Altas threatened at 54-57, but guard Jeff Morial intercepted a Franz Dysam pass, and then converted on an undergoal stab after receiving a dish from Garri Sevilla to give the Blazers a 59-54 advantage with 20 seconds remaining.

Sevilla chipped in with 11 points, while Morial contributed with seven markers.

Altas big man Raffy Ynion scored 18 points and had seven rebounds, with Dysam adding 10 for Perpetual, which fell to a 1-1 slate after thwarting San Sebastian on opening day.

Saint Benilde, which currently leads the team standings at 2-0, took a season-opening 69-65 win against Philippine Christian University.

Individual Scores:

CSB 61 – Manlapaz 14, David 13, Sevilla 11, Morial 7, Montecastro 6, Mañalac 6, Johnston 2, Dalanon 2, Abolucion 0, Santos 0.

UPHSD 54 – Ynion 18, Dysam 10, Balboa 8, M. Kong 7, Mejos 5, Reyes 4, Salanga 2, Galabin 0.

Quarter Scores: 18-18; 33-33; 47-48; 61-54
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2-0 na. Sana they'll be more consistent winning games. Never say die. Faith in the Flame! Goodluck to us vs the Knights on friday. ;)

I wasn't able to watch a lot of SJLC games lately but during the Knight's tuneup game against UST it was Melegrito who wreaked havoc to the Tigers game plan on both ends of the floor. He out played the UST backcourt on offense while he led the LC full court press on defense. Aside from Jazul I think Melegrito should be controlled by the Blazers to have a shot at winning.

Letran's press might be an advantage for us since we really love to run. I had to cut classes back then. It was the same day ng celebration ng Animo Night due to the Green Archers' 3rd straight UAAP title then pagbalik ng DLSU campus, sigawan na lahat because Benilde also sealed the NCAA men's basketball title.

Truly, it was one of the best moments for me in De La Salle basketball.

This might be another off topic but during the Salvacion era, hirap manalo ang Green Archers during exhibition and scrimmage games between sister schools.

This will be the first acid test of St. Benilde this early. Letran plays physical basketball and dapat matatag ka against them, kundi, iiwanan ka nila and blow the game wide open. Dito masusubok ang patience ng Blazers. Good luck to both teams.

Kaya nga if ever you win either by a mere point or a big margin, the effect will be tremendous psychologically in your favor.

Ang LetranKnights always have that intimidating factor up on their sleeves pero once you hurdle that, all will be smooth sailing.

I was there kanina sa Cuneta at medyo kinulang sila sa last quarter. Dami turnovers sabay converted to field goals at freethrow pa ang Knights so talagang mahirap mawala ang composure. Dibale bawi na lang next round! ;)

Dalanon almost started a fight yesterday with his trash-talking. "Knuckle-head".

Sustainability. CSB was not able to sustain their excellent play in the second half. Parang naubusan.
Monteclaro was spectacular in the first half but fizzled in the second half.
Big men Manlapaz and Manalac hit consistent medium range jumpers in the first half but wasn't able to sustain in the 2nd half.

Perimeter shooting was way-off in the second half. This somehow could be compensated when you have a back-to-the-basket big men pero wala. Ang big men ng St. Benilde are more like of a perimeter guy who lives and die with medium range jumpers. Inalat ang shooting nila talaga noong 2nd half.

Overall, CSB will be something to watch in the next few games. "Upset Kids".
I like the strong start.

Great game by the Blazers against the Knights.

No worries... you lost against a more experienced team but somehow i can see a bright future for the Blazers core specially with your new coach...how old are these guys Monteclaro, Manlapaz and Manalac...rookies, sophomores?

If these same guys stay together for the next couple of years, itaga niyo sa bato they will bring your Blazers zooming to greater heights. Hence, i shall christen them "3M"

Howard malas ka talaga! ;D

I was there kanina sa Cuneta at medyo kinulang sila sa last quarter. Dami turnovers sabay converted to field goals at freethrow pa ang Knights so talagang mahirap mawala ang composure. Dibale bawi na lang next round! ;)

She's hot !!!

Her name is Pangga Go, medyo pantasya nga ng cameraman yun dahil panay focus sa kanya kahit sa taas sa gallery. :D

With regards to Dalanon, you will have to forgive him. Rookie mistakes include uncontrolled emotions.

Precious yun. Malay natin, within a few years ma-witness uli natin to? I'll start dreaming then.. :D

Hopefully, we can hear details about the CSB-Letran battle from Kabayang Get_Blazed or from those CSB supporters who went to the Astrodome earlier this afternoon to watch the game.

Sorry but I wasnt able to watch live, either.

RJ Jazul was phenomenal, I think he got 37 pts and 8 rebs in the game.

Jazul played a LeBron James type of game yesterday. Registering 37-8-5-3. Ala-LBJ talaga. Di na nakatakbo ang Benilde nung last minutes of the third until the deciding monents, plus the fact that we were not able to pick up our D. Hope we can rebound from this loss. :-\

i was there too. the crowd of benilde was doubled compared to its last game against the altas. montecastro, david and dalanon played well, though naginit masyado si dalanon that led him to be kicked out on the court. sayang talaga, bumitaw sila. hope they'll win against JRU on monday.

What Chuck Dalanon did was truly uncalled for. Benildeans are not normally like this(especially the Blazers). Sana hindi na maulit ang nangyari and I hope Coach Gee would do something to ensure that.

I think sir Big Cat meant Montecastro, who did an insane spin then double pump layup againts 2 Knights.

The big man youre describing screams Harvey Porras which sadly, wasnt able to make it this year.

Masama lang talaga that we were not able to continue running and was not able to keep up with the Knights in the endgame.

JRU played solid ball for about two and a half quarters until Rey Guevarra, RJ Jazul and Boyet Melegrito turned things around for the Knight midway through the third period. Guevarra scored on ther go-ahead basket to give the Knights the 51-50 lead and St Benilde just seemed to lose their shooting.

CSB needs to control the paint in order to get a win here. We all know JRU has a slew of big men rotating for the paint. CSB on other hand has a bunch of athletes that could easily turn the tide in their favor. Now the keys to winning are 1.) Control the boards. 2.) Prevent 2nd chance points 3.) Stop the fast break attack and try to pressure JRU ball handlers.

JRU might get their first win against CSB.

Yan ang kulang sa JRU season right now.

David, Manlapaz and the #16 guy should help each other to contain Sena. he's JRU's primary option and is the anchor of this team. stopping Sena would almost mean a win for the Blazers. the guards are pretty even(because Cagoco and Wilson have not shown their A game this season). i see the Blazers winning in a close game.

CSB has and always had problems in the paint, especially now that Porras is not in the line-up. CSB has to gang rebound if they are to have a chance on getting those boards. I think Coach Gee would definitely give emphasis on D.

The 3 "big" men of CSB always choose to play the outside game, meaning they love to shoot the mid-range jumpers, but on D they should still double Sena, and gang-rebound against the high leaping Hayes.

Aww we lost. Too disappionted to remember the final score. I believe it was around 7-8 points. I came in late second quater with the score at 33-17 favor of JRU, but Benilde slowly crept back. Score was tied early third quarter(Or was it half?) it was a ball game before the rookie jitters caught up with Santos(hit with a flagrant 2 following a foul on the break), Dalanon who kept throwing wanton 3 pointers(3 I think, that was all off), and Manalac(who was having a hard time finding his shot). Archie David was his old self, knocking down a few threes while having his hands full on the D defending the monster of the paint, Sena. The Blazers were obviously outrebounded by Hayes and Sena, they are having a hard time boxing these 2 out. And Cagoco's three's kept the lead at bay whenever it would seem like the Blazers are about to spark a run. Gelo Montecastro has to step up more in late game situations like that, he started hesitating and showed signs of succumbing under the pressure late 3rd quarter 'til the end. Jeff Morial and the other veterans should too, is seems as if only David has developed the 'nerves of steel'. Oh well, be back soon. Palilipasain ko lang to. :'(

1.) Try to outrun MIT-They have to many big men.
2.) Pressure the ball carriers-MIT only has Dela Pena and Banal to bring the ball, if they get tired? who will replace them
3.) Play 40 minutes-Prevent collapse.

I think CSB has players who could click outside. In my assessment of MIT, I don't think they have players like that. For the weak side attack, is the term used by coaches in attacking opposite the ball side. We all know that is the ball
side is the focus of the defense. If we have players knowing how to move well and read the defense, they could go into the heart of MIT defense in no time.

Tony Atayde says this is taken from the operation manual of the NCAA

Rule #6
Playing Uniform and School ID
6.1 All athletes shall wear the OFFICIAL PLAYING TEAM UNIFORM in all the games/matches of the current NCAA Season.
6.5 Any athlete whose playing uniform does not conform to the
preceding rules shall be INELIGIBLE to participate in a given game/match.
9.2 A team shall lose the game by FORFEITURE if and when:
9.2.1 An INELIGIBLE athlete is fielded or enters the playing court with an intent to play. He and his team shall lose the game/match BY FORFEITURE.

No more telecast.* Did MANCOM know that Ekwe had an 'old' uniform before or during the game and waited for it to finish [a case of bad faith, in surplus at MANCOM ] or did it notice this only after the game [looking for loopholes in a well-earned win] ?* From the Mike Abasolo article at the other website, it appears that CSB is not too excited about getting a win this way.* So the victim could be SBC, or CSB or both.* And who is the victimizer?* MANCOM!* Perhaps on opening day, they should be the one reciting the oath of sportsmanship.

I am basing this on a previous thread that Benilde players were not aware of the protest made by Mancom. Then why would the Benilde players decide on the merits of the protest? Is this Atayde not aware of this protest made by Mancom as per Inbound pass allegation (pls. see above thread)? Is there a conspiracy here to eliminate San Beda by Mancom? Though a La Sallian alumnus, I find this action by Mancom a blatant no rather a very, very, vulgar attempt to destroy San Beda. It is not the fault of San Beda if they have a superior team. If Mancom feels that San Beda made an over kill in the quality of its players, that is not San Beda's problem. It is the problem of the other teams in the league. They should be addressing the problem of the quality of the members of their own teams so as to match San Beda and not to resort to this kind of sordid tactics. I pity my team Benilde Blazers for they now being used as scape goats in this sad affair caused by some members in NCAA MANCOM.

Saang newspaper yan sinabi? We need to get our facts straight first. I wouldn't want to point the finger to a Blazer or the Coach, or even Henry Atayde who seems to be stucked between a rock and a hard place. We can only speculate for the moment.

If a player from CSB did see the uniform first but didn't act on it, it may be that the player has no intention to spoil the game by filing a protest. Could it be he was "convinced" to put this game under protest? Where there signs of MANCOM compelling them to file a protest? If the player and the coach acted alone, how would San Beda react?

Now if we follow another newspaper report in the Tribune that MANCOM actually started the boll rolling on San Beda's infraction then where can we see Henry Atayde is conniving with the chairman to push for this protest? Was he compelled as well because of an existing rule?

Rules are rules in the NCAA. And CSB has its fair share of unfavorable reprimands, decisions, and sanctions. Remember the 2000 season when CSB won the crown over the Stags? There wasn't a TV coverage on that day because MANCOM released a statement of a possible "rumble" by game 2. Now that was totally unfair and no rumble happened after we won the crown. It was truly misleading on MANCOM's part. >:(

I say suspend Ekwe for a technicality and keep the win for San Beda. St. Benilde wants a clean game, and we want to win with PRIDE and HONOR!

Alright rules are rules* but at least try to look into the spirit of the law. I hope there are lawyers here from Benilde who can explain this to the players.

There's a saying in statutory constuction that* "when the rule does not provide so we must not”.

Did Sam's old official NCAA uniform with the wrong placement of the LOGO violated the letter and the spirit of this "law"?

Just a food for thought for the players to decide. They can take that boardroom* victory or accept defeat on the hard court with pride. Forget about Atayde. He will will only give disgrace to your community.

‘EKWE PLAYED IN WRONG JERSEY’
St. Benilde to protest San Beda win
By Julius Manicad
07/20/2008
www.tribune.net.ph

San Beda’s immaculate slate in the National Collegiate Athletics Association’s (NCAA) senior basketball tournament is being threatened by an impending protest from College of St. Benilde.

The Red Lions swamped the Blazers, 74-51, on Friday at the Cuneta Astrodome, but something wasn’t right in San Beda’s fourth straight win in the tournament which has Letran as leader with five straight wins with no loss.

The Blazers are set to file a formal protest anytime next week against Sam Ekwe, the Red Lions’ Nigerian import who played wearing the wrong uniform.

Henry Atayde, Saint Benilde representative to the management committee, yesterday confirmed their protest, saying that he will elevate the matter before their president, Bro. Vic Franco, early next week.

The NCAA gave the Blazers until Tuesday to file the plaint.

The NCAA, through its mancom chairman Fernando “Ding” Lozano of Mapua Institute of Technology, has already sent the Red Lions a mandatory infraction report which solidified the Blazers’ complaint.

Atayde considers the report as a victory on their part.

“Rules are rules, and it should be applied to all,” Atayde said. “So with a heavy heart, we have no other choice but to file a formal protest. The letter will be on our president’s desk on Monday and we will submit it to the NCAA mancom on or before Tuesday. It’s up to them to decide, we already did our part.”

Last year, the first and second heaves of a thrower from San Sebastian College was nullified after he was caught wearing the wrong playing uniform in an actual competition. A similar thing also happened to the Blazers’ chess, lawn tennis and volleyball teams after some of their members played wearing the wrong jerseys.

In Ekwe’s case, he was caught wearing the wrong uniform before the start of the third period. Atayde said they almost did not notice the infraction if not for the bold Talk ‘N Text logo in his playing jersey, which they used during their last year’s campaign.

“There is already a precedent. So, I guess this time, we have a stronger case against them,” Atayde said, reiterating that skipper Jacob Manlapaz has signed the protest sheet after the game.

San Beda mancom representative Jose Mari Lacson declined to comment why Ekwe wasn’t in his playing uniform.

“I haven’t talked to him, and we haven’t received the formal protest as well,” Lacson said. “Maybe it was just an ‘honest mistake’ on (Ekwe’s) part.”

Ekwe seems to be a magnet of trouble for the Lions lately. In his campaign with the National Team in the Southeast Asian Basketball Association Champions Cup last summer, the gentle giant from Lagos, Nigeria was held for five grueling hours at the Jakarta airport for failing to present a working visa issued by Nigerian immigration authorities.

In Indonesian soil, he was not allowed to see action as he was found lacking pertinent papers to be classified as an import, leading to the Nationals’ disappointing finish in the league.

If the same rule was applied to San Sebastian and CSB in other NCAA sporting events, why should San Beda be exempted from this rule? What was San Beda's position when the forfeiture was handed to San Sebastian and CSB where obviously the uniform had no bearing in events like chess?

Given the raging issue involving CSB's protest of San Beda's win after Sam Ekwe was allegedly caught wearing the wrong uniform and the potentially explosive nature of the issue that might arise from Ateneo's Kirk Long and Vince Burke allegedly wearing the wrong uniforms during the Blue Eagles' game against the UP Fighting Maroons:

1. Does UAAP and NCAA rules explicitly stated the definition of "official uniform"? If yes, does the definition also include details on what constitutes an "official uniform"? If no, should the definition of and the details of what constitutes an "official uniform" be included in league rules?

2. If we are to define the legal meaning of an "official uniform", should minor details such as seals and patches be included as part of an "official uniform"?

3. Will the term "official uniform" only apply for uniforms that are being used for the current season, thus making the use of practice jerseys and past "official uniforms" for current season games illegal?

4. Should a particular player of a team be caught wearing uniforms that violate the league's rules on "official uniforms", when can the opposing team lodge a protest? Should the protest be done regardless of the end result of the game between the two teams?

5. Should past issues involving the use of "official uniforms" in both leagues (nullified San Sebastian and CSB chess games in the NCAA; OJ Cua's use of the wrong DLSU jersey during the first round game of the Archers against the UP Fighting Maroons in 2005) be given credence in defining the rules and regulations that would formally set the meaning and specifications of an "official uniform"?

Good thinking idea sir Danny, unfortunately one particular Benildean that I know who is studying for law after graduating from CSB is in your school. ;)

Unfortunately for us, MANCOM has the upperhand when it comes to deciding on such cases. Take for example our case back in 1998 when we first joined the NCAA, LSGH wore their jerseys bearing LSGH alone. It is the name of their school but MANCOM decided that they should use CSB in their jerseys. Of course they weren't informed before the games, thus automatic forfeitures on their games. Sadly, the newbies that we were sucked it up.

I see no difference with what happened to Ekwe and to the LSGH team but the difference is only one guy. I hope that MANCOM will change the sanctions to suit the infractions since some of you may already know that every season they see it as a case-to-case basis so the sensible thing that would happen is that Ekwe be suspended and still give the win to San Beda. There is no honor in a boardroom victory and I wouldn't want CSB to be a part of MANCOM's schemes.

Get_Blazed, perhaps you could share info regarding the protest.

Thanks.

As much as I want to, I could only share what you guys already know. We only get what the media is feeding us. I'll try to talk to Jacob tomorrow if he's around and maybe he could shed some light. ;)

Nabubura ng Cheering Squad ang mga problang nangyayari, he he he

Uh-oh, to everyone who are indulging/posting the CSB Pep Squads pictures on this thread, you are in the wrong place. Please take that somewhere else. --or I'll just make a thread for that. ;)

I wonder what is Jacob Manlapaz' stand on this.

Let me ask him if he's around tomorrow. Ang bait kaya nito. I'll try to get to the bottom of this if we get to talk.
