Pag si So Cool Jazul ang may hawak ng bola, kinakabahan ako parati e. Ang dulas kasi e. Di mo alam kung titira, sasaksak o papasa. Sumisigaw nalang ako parati ng "Bantayan nyo yan!!! Patay tayo jan!!!"

Arguably the best shooter in the NCAA today.

currently, the heart and soul of the Letran Knights. MVP contender for this year.

Deadly outside shot. Good passer, constantly passing the ball in the hopes of catching a teammate in good scoring position.

With so much talk of the heroics of Dela Pena in the critical stretch run of Mapua, it seems another all star guard – RJ Jazul – has been consigned to the sidelines. It seems people do not remember that he exploded for 37 points including several three-pointers against St Benilde. He practically overhauled a sizable Blazers lead all by himself to lead Letran to that key victory.

Against the returning PCU Dolphins Jazul was all guns ablaze once more – he dropped seven of his 20 in the fourth quarter on the tough PCU defense as the Knights took the pull away win against Coach Joel Dualan’s boys. Jazul also had six rebounds, six assists and two steals in a sterling all around performance against PCU. His leadership in that game spelled the difference for the Knights.

All of the other veterans of Coach Louie Alas have also been delivering for Letran. 6-foot-3 power forward Dino Daa, 6-foot-6 center John Foronda, 6-foot-3 small forward Alvyn Cabonce, 5-foot-11 guard John Carl “Kojak” Melegrito, and 6-foot-4 high leaping forward Ray Guevarra have all come together as a cohesive and tight unit. Jazul may be the star of this team but they are no longer the superstar-oriented Letran teams of previous seasons – no more Ronjay Enriles and Aaron Abans on this team.

The emergence of Foronda is perhaps the most critical development since Letran lost erstwhile starting center Bryan Faundo to academic difficulties. Foronda may not provide the near double/double production of the departed Faundo but he has been strong off the boards, blocking some shots and getting opportunistic baskets on the put-backs. The frontline was an area of concern for Letran but with Foronda around to anchor the middle it is no longer the crisis it was thought to be before the season started.

It should be an interesting match when Mapua and Letran collide next week. Two of the best guards in the country will be going head to head, in a matchup that features the two hottest teams in the NCAA at present. Both teams have a lot of positive momentum on their side, and both feature swift and athletic lineups that like to run and gun and press. Whoever emerges the winner one thing is clear – it will be a game for the ages.

Another A-game from DA COOL JAZUL against the Perps.

Not surprising if he gets that honor again this week.

He didn't do well in the last 3 games of the Knights. Plus, he didn't play vs. the Altas. Reason was because of the silight fever. What's happening to this guy?

Well if it's true that this is already the 7th year of Jazul in college it should not come as a surprise anymore why he plays that way. He's not only a veteran but we can say that he's "ancient" already in the NCAA, gurang na pala.

RJ Jazul gambled in the dying seconds of overtime by double-teaming Escobal in the backcourt and leaving his man, Hermida wide open at mid-court. His gamble did not payoff as Hermida scooted down the basket for the game-winning shot.

Baka 5th year pa lang si Jazul in college.
Because there is a "7 years out of High School rule". Kung lumampas ka dyan, you are not eligible.

Sa pagkaka-alam ko, 4th NCAA Season pa lang ni Jazul. But he may have spent a year in Team B before his rookie season in 2005.

Three turnovers by RJ Jazul with less than a minute left helped JRU grabbed the lead for good.

The first resulted in a Mark Cagoco fastbreak layup, second was loosing the ball the Cagoco again and Cagoco hitting two free throws. The last one being where he had his shot blocked by Sena and turned the ball over the JRU.

^actually, cagoco only made one out of two free throws. but that's nitpicking.

anyway, what's done is done. life goes on.
