Bossman your welcome. Here are the links for available trade checkers in the web. ESPN (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/features/trademachine) or RealGM (http://www.realgm.com/src_tradechecker/1/). Basically you need to match the outgoing and incoming salaries. The general rule is that it should be within 125% + $100,000 of total incoming or totaloutgoing salaries.

Suggestion ko we do three scenario's and then all of us will submit our trade proposals here. One week timeframe for all then tatlo tayong judge. Even number naman kaya pwede, except na lang kung kanya kanyang vote tayo sa sarili. ;D

Ako muna gagawa ng 3 scenarios. Magiisip ako mamayang gabi post ko dito. Deadline natin next Monday (Oct 27).

Pwede din. So when do we start?

Will start things off. Here's a select team i personally want to improve: the Miami Heat.

GOAL: Make the Heat immediate contenders this year or next:

PROTECTION: Except for superstar Dwyane Wade and prized rookie Michael Beasley every player on the roster may be traded.

PRIMARY TRADE BAIT: SHAWN MARION and his expiring contract. (Trade scenario MUST include The Matrix, since the Heat would not want to lose him after this season)

DEADLINE: 5 pm on October 31, 2008 (Friday)

Post away your scenarios :)

Here is the other one:

BACKGROUND: Orlando is getting impatient with Jameer Nelson's development as the franchise point guard. Rashard Lewis isnt exactly a good fit in Magic's 4 spot as he is a natural 3. Hedo recently announced he will opt out of his contract next year and plans to sign a better contract than he currently have.

GOAL: Fix Orlando's problem without hurting its competitiveness.

PROTECTION and TRADE BAIT : All are up for grab except Dwight Howard

DEADLINE: Same above.

Ouch. Jameer just recently signed an extension meaning he is a Base Year Contract player. Mahirap-hirap 'to :)

Here's my tuhog-trade (covering both scenarios!!!)

Trade ID #4787207: Chicago-Miami-Orlando three-way

ORLANDO MAGIC
Incoming Players: Andres Nocioni/Kirk Hinrich/Marcus Banks
Outgoing Players: Keith Bogans/Brian Cook/Tony Battie/Hedo Turkoglu/Jameer Nelson

Magic Line-up post-trade:
PG - Hinrich/Banks/Johnson/Wilks
SG - Pietrus/Reddick/Lee
SF - Nocioni/Richardson
PF - Lewis/Jones
C - Howard/Gortat/Foyle

Why the Magic would do it?

Simple, they upgrade their point guardin Kirk Hinrich, who got lost in the scheme of things in Chicago but will have a fresh start in Florida. The starting five looks solid--- although the PF spot is still non-standard and small, it now becomes a better defensive team with Hinrich and Nocioni around. The bench has yet to be addressed but another trade bait in Reddick (If rookie Lee pans out) can net a serviceable power forward.

CHICAGO BULLS
Incoming Players: Brian Cook/Shawn Marion
Outgoing Players: Andres Nocioni/Kirk Hinrich

Bulls line-up post-trade:
PG - Rose/Hughes
SG - Gordon/Sefolosha
SF - Deng/Powell/Nichols
PF - Marion/Gooden/Cook
C - Noah/Thomas/Gray

Why the Bulls would do it:
Rose gets starter minutes and unloads Hinrich's contract. Acquiring Marion could be for short-term, but if they can convince him to stay and sign a long term, they'd be a few pieces away from being consistent playoff contenders. If Marion decides to leave, that's a large expiring contract (along with Gordon) they can have the large cap space to chase other free agents and pay their own.

MIAMI HEAT
Incoming Players: Keith Bogans/Tony Battie/Hedo Turkoglu/Jameer Nelson
Outgoing Players: Marcus Banks/Shawn Marion

Heat line-up post-trade:
PG - Nelson/Quinn/Chalmers
SG - Wade/Cook/Bogans
SF - Beasley/Wright
PF - Haslem/Turkoglu
C - Blount/Battie

Why the Heat would do it:
They get a legit starter in Jameer Nelson then gives Beasley the time to develop now with the departure of Marion. The Heat are in danger of losing Marion for nothing, and Turkoglu (who they can extend in two years if it works) and get their starting PG.

Scenario 1: Make Heat an instant contender

Trade Breakdown (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=125~3431~566~847~3196~2184~510&teams=14~14~14~14~12~12~12&te=&cash=)

Udonis Haslem, Shawn Marion and Dequan Cook
for
Marcus Camby, Eric Gordon, Tim Thomas and Cuttino Mobley

Heat:
PG - Eric Gordon / Marcus Banks / Mario Chalmers
SG - Dwane Wade / Cuttino Mobley / Eric Gordon
SF - Michael Beasley / James Jones / Dorell Wright
PF - Tim Thomas / Michael Beasley / Joel Anthony
C - Marcus Camby / Mark Blount

This trade is on the assumption the Heat will try to compete for the next two years before the franchise goes off for complete rebuilding in 2010 offseason (Wade contract's expires in 2010). Two rookies in the starting line-up isnt exactly a good idea but these two are premier talents in this draft class. Gordon is not a skilled point guard but that doesnt really matter since its Wade who does the playmaking most of the time in Miami.

Clippers:
PG - Baron Davis / Jason Hart / Mike Taylor
SG - Ricky Davis / Dequan Cook /
SF - Shawn Marion / Al Thornton / Steve Novak
PF - Udonis Haslem / Brian Skinner / Steve Novak
C - Chris Kaman / Brian Skinner / DeAndre Jordan

Clippers is committed to remain competitive despite Brand's departure. This trade makes the Clippers a better playoff team in the West this season and yet flexible enough to sign a max player the following year (Boozer in mind).

This is the match-up

durden_tyler's trade:

Incoming Players: Keith Bogans/Tony Battie/Hedo Turkoglu/Jameer Nelson
Outgoing Players: Marcus Banks/Shawn Marion

Heat line-up post-trade:
PG - Nelson/Quinn/Chalmers
SG - Wade/Cook/Bogans
SF - Beasley/Wright
PF - Haslem/Turkoglu
C - Blount/Battie

mighty_lion's trade:

Udonis Haslem, Shawn Marion and Dequan Cook
for
Marcus Camby, Eric Gordon, Tim Thomas and Cuttino Mobley

Heat:
PG - Eric Gordon / Marcus Banks / Mario Chalmers
SG - Dwane Wade / Cuttino Mobley / Eric Gordon
SF - Michael Beasley / James Jones / Dorell Wright
PF - Tim Thomas / Michael Beasley / Joel Anthony
C - Marcus Camby / Mark Blount

i have a few issues with your trade (as you also have with my trade, am sure ;) ) and will nitpick in a bit. Pano nga ulit to, sino judge? :D Kapag napasa na ni Bossman ang proposal nya, pwede na natin ilagay as poll.

Sorry late. :)

Scenario 2:
Trade Breakdown (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=45~2439~862~3002~617~2027&teams=13~13~13~19~19~19&te=&cash=)

Nelson, Hedo and Battie for Farmar, Odom and Walton

Lakers

PG - Nelson / Fisher
SG - Bryant / Vujajic
SF - Turkoglu / Ariza
PF - Gasol / Radmanovic
C - Bynum / Battie / Mihm

Nelson is a better ball handler than Fisher and Farmar. Equally adept shooter as well and can play with and off the ball. Hedo as we all know had a breakout year last year with 19-5-6 shooting 40% and 46% from 3pt and field. Both are perfect fit to Lakers triangle offense. Walton is slowly turning into a bad contract in LA considering his contribution and pay and resigning Odom next year might be an issue considering Lakers need to extend Bynum's contract.

PG - Farmar / Johnson
SG - Pietrus / Bogans / Lee
SF - Lewis / Walton / Bogans
PF - Odom / Cook / Lewis
C - Howard / Foyle

Odom is better than Lewis in terms of rebounding, post defense, creating plays for others and low post scoring.
