MANILA, Philippines—Ranbil Tongco hit 27 points as Caloocan-Batang Alaska Aces held off Antipolo-Batang Ginebra Kings, 62-56, Sunday at the start of the Burlington-Jr. PBA Summer League at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Tongco, who scored all but three of his team's 19 points in the opening quarter, preserved his heroics by bailing out Caloocan from a tight contest in the fourth.

Antipolo trailed by seven after one quarter but the Jr. Kings seized control in the next 12 minutes by outscoring the Jr. Aces, 21-9, to take a 33-28 lead at the half.

Rafael de Leon sparked that run by scattering 11 points.

The game stayed close in the fourth but the Jr. Kings couldn't get closer than 48-50 on a basket by De Leon with 3:01 to go.
