^ As to Item Number 1 above I wish to make a shameless display of bench lifting and self praise: It is a positive first step to partner up with www.gameface.ph to take care of the SBP web site, har-har!

Seriously though, in terms of professionalizing the SBP organization, I believe it is imperative that they retain the services of a fulltime writer and editor for the SBP newsletter. The newsletter is important in disseminating information quickly, especially to those who may not have Internet access. There should be more articles, more news, better overall presentation. Also, it would be good to get the non-branded old folks to do the writing. Look at all of the good writers just within the www.gameface.ph community. Surely the SBP can make service retainer arrangements with the better writers in our site. Not only will our community writers come a whole lot cheaper than the so-called veteran media types, but the SBP can be assured that our members are those who truly love, study and follow the game. In other words our guys have the passion to turn in excellent work to the SBP newsletter. If the SBP can find funding for its media launches and events, nationwide scouting and training, surely it can find funding for putting together a top-quality and passionate pool of writers for its newsletter.

I also agree with Item Number 4 in Anthony's opening post above. Officiating is something that the SBP should really focus on. We are not talking about competence or integrity here. I would be very happy if for instance there would just be consistency across the board in terms of what constitutes offenses and violations. It is infuriating to have to guess all the time how certain refs will call certain things especially fouls and travels.
