BAP-Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas recently signed an exclusive online media partnership with Gameface.ph, the Philippines’ First basketball media portal and leading online hoops authority. SBP Executive Director Patrick Gregorio signed the partnership agreement with Henry Abes, Gameface.ph President and Chief Executive Officer.

“This was just a logical step. After all, Gameface.ph is proud to have the most avid, best-informed and most articulate membership of any basketball website in the country. Servicing the country’s official national basketball federation just makes perfect sense,” Abes declared. “We look forward to a long and very fruitful partnership with the SBP,” he added.

Gameface will be very busy with the bustle of events and activities lined up by SBP for the rest of 2008. The upcoming tournaments of the National Youth Team, the formation and implementation of the National Basketball Training Centers in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, and all of the other programs, tournaments and events over the course of the next several months are already rolling, according to Gregorio. No less than the FIBA itself keeps abreast of developments in Philippine basketball through the SBP website.

“We are very pleased to work with Gameface.ph, and we know they will provide exactly the kind of top notch service the SBP requires,” Gregorio said.

“We expect them to power up the SBP website with their exclusive interactive media forums and Media Center that will enhance the content of our portal. Content updates in the SBP portal will likewise be pushed to all Gameface.ph members worldwide on a regular basis. We will also utilize their on-line infrastructure to discover new talents for our training pool,” he added.
