View Full Version : Eliminations Second Round Game 12: NU

If we win on this game, it will solidify our chances of gaining a twice to beat advantage heading into the final four and even in the step ladder method in case UE sweeps the elimination round.

We had a hard time when we last faced them since they employed a box-and-one strategy to JV Casio, enabling them to neutralize his scoring and other offensive capabilities. So what do you think are their chances in winning the ballgame? Will it be 9-3? Or 8-4?

the other stringers should step up this time around if they (nu) will employ the box-one defense.
i remember it was malabes who provided the offense then, so i hope he'll be able to put on his shooting skill (again)up to a notch if the bulldogs will gang up on casio.

9-3!!! ;)

- Find alternatives to the box-1 defense of NU. Simply put, MORE OFFENSIVE ALTERNATIVES.
- Control the tempo. Don't let NU run.
- Control Jahnke
- Three point shooting. (Hello, OJ Cua!)
- Tough mindset. This is already the tougher stretch.

We're on for the last ride, guys! Here we come!

NU has the personnel needed to match the intensity of the De La Salle Green Archers. Edwin Asoro and Jonathan Fernandez are the usual suspects for NU. Joseph Lingao-Lingao could be strong underneath and a possible match against our big men. Raymond Aguilar, that former San Sebastian Stag who is now making waves in the UAAP, is another credible threat. Jonathan Jahnke maybe the usual junkee that we all know but he is just very reliable at the point. You also have their bench players like Salvado.

The Archers should just play good team basketball when they meet the Bulldogs. These Bulldogs are definitely no pushovers since they are hungry for a first Final Four appearance in six years. TY, JV, Cholo and Rico should be the leaders that they are supposed to be in this particular game.

just control the boards and limit the fast break opportunities of the bulldogs. Walsham, please, asarin mo ulit si Lingao-Lingao para masira ang laro niya. haha. :D

DLSU by 10points.
