This Thursday we will face again NU which gave us a hard time in our last encounter 2 weeks ago. Even though we pulled off a slim margin win back in the first round, the problem that is bothering us as of the moment is that if the Archers has its morale on a higher gear to avenge their heartbreaking loss yesterday or will it affect them allowing NU to take this game? If NU beats us then we will be both tied on the standings at 5-4.

Your thoughts on this upcoming game.

The 'dogs will try to use their perceived superiority in the paint, and will hoist a lot of treys to try to loosen up our interior. It's going to be another tough one, especially if Jayvee can't play. Barua and Bader will have to step up, and our guard corps will have to regain their concentration.

It'll be a tough one, for sure.

I pretty much agree with what nel said. Thursday's game against NU will surely be one hell of ride for a possibly Casio-less La Salle. TY should get his groove back. Cholo should be more consistent and more precise. Rico should take care of his temper, especially that he will be playing against a relatively dirty team. Our other guards and big men should really step up.

In short, the Archers should really play as a team on Thursday.

we will win on thursday! i have no doubts about the capacity of the boys to bounce back from a heartbreak of a loss last sunday. but of course they need our support to show them that we are behind them all the way! lets all troop to araneta and cheer them on! anak ng tipaklong ngayon pa kayo nagduda sa kakayahan ni franz? 4 and 5 nga napa champion 5 and 3 pa ;)

Pero dapat wag din sila manggigil. Baka maubusan ulit sila eh. They should pace themselves.

If JV will really play on Thursday, then that will be good news. :)

Hopefully, the Archers will play good team basketball against NU on Thursday. Nagyabang daw kasi itong si Joseph Lingao-Lingao by saying na siguradong panalo daw ang Bulldogs sa next game nila, which is against La Salle. Let's just prove Lingao-Lingao wrong. ;D

the boys will have to keep their guard up, as NU is definitely no pushover. this is where we really could benefit from a healthy marko batricevic...lakas ng inside game ng NU, with asoro, a considerably improved lingao-lingao and SSC-R transferee aguilar...tapos kelangan dikitan si fernandez, who's a distant second to patrick cabahug in scoring, but nevertheless a threat to score in bunches from the outside.

at sana magkatotoo ang mouth injury ni referee buyung... :D

NU is definitely no push-over.

At first, may thought that the only Bulldogs to watch out for were Asoro, Fernandez, Lingao-Lingao and Jahnke. Then came former Stag Aguilar, who contributed very much to the campaign of Manny Dandan's boys. They also have some of their bench players who could bust their way against the competition such as Salvado and Garcia.

From those facts alone, we can say that NU is a team with a mission and all teams, most especially the Archers, should be aware of that.

As for Buyung, the triplets are smiling at him right now. Baka pumasok na si Buyung sa Thursday kapag naging friends sila ng triplets. ;D

Games for tomorrow (UP vs UST, DLSU vs NU), August 16, have already been cancelled and are to be re-scheduled on another date and venue.

Another playing day wasted by the lapse in judgment on the part of the organizers. Overcast skies but NO rain. ::)
