last weeks friendship games (among teams PMI, PUP, AU, SSC-Cavite, and Chosun University-Korea) gave the team the needed tune-up games enroute to the NCRAA Finals. EAC placed 2nd with SSC-Cavite taking the 1 week tournament trophy. Chosun upends AU Chiefs to take the 3rd place.

Gester Ebuen is back in top form. thanks to the more than 2 weeks break prior to the NCRAA Finals. we will be missing mark anzures who will serve his suspension after being thrown out in last game versus SFAC.

The rest of the squad led by RJ Buenafe, John Valderama, ALain Musni and KC Castillo, will be out to redeem themselves after missing its chance to defend its crown last year.

We rearin to go and take the series by a sweep....EAC Generals also celebrates the triumph of its member EMMANUEL MAGO for bagging the Mr. Philippines World 2007. Bob will represent the Philippines in Senya China in the Mr. World Pageant.

the executive board has decided, the judgment call was made.

coach isla placed the game under protest but he will not push thru with it because the ncraa by laws does not have any ground rules in using video to check a contested call or shot off a buzzer like in the pba, or pbl and even the uaap and ncaa.

the generals must force a rubber match. game 2 will be played at eac sports center. 2pm

GO GENERALS!

but taking aside the controversy, it's quite a memorable game reminds me of the eac-dlsu-d game from the ucaa championship two years ago.

the ucaa 2005 game 3 championship.... wow, that was another spine tingling moment... at 70 all with no time remaing. jr manansala (him again) was fouled in the act of shooting. he missed the first and converted the second to seal the championship to the generals for its back to back ucaa title.

nandun ka pla??? haay, EAC's most memorable championship ever!

eac led by one point in the 1st half. ron jay struggled due to the box and one defense applied by au chiefs. the 3rd quarter saw the deadly sniping and insde game of the chiefs.in the 4th quarter the generals slowly regain the upper hand during the crucial minutes of the game. leading by 3 points in the last 11 seconds. the chiefs slotman daroya made a three point shot to tie the game. with 4 seconds left, the generals failed to convert whch forced the 1st overtime.

in the over time, the au once again tok charge only to falter at crunch time. with 13 seconds remaining, ron jay buenafe was guarded well by dar juan, buenafe gave up the ball to jr manansala who took a 3point attempt as time expired. the referees didnt count the shot which forced the 2nd over-time.

frustrated over the decision of the referees, the generals lost its steam and bowed out to au chiefs with 103-99.
