am i right that jervy cruz is a rookie for the tigers this season? if this is a yes, then, he is the best candidate for the ROY award ..... his impact to the team is awesome & even to the league itself.

What are the rules regarding Jervy Cruz anyway? Is he considered in the same classification as Jerwin Gaco was in 2003 for Lasalle?

He came from UST's Team B. Kailangan daw straight from high school ang ROY. It's also why Ababou didn't win it last year.

Gaco was disqualified for being a graduate student, I think.

If that's the case then Eric Salamat should be the frontrunner. He's on a team that is in the Finals, has had a couple of good games, has great Juniors credentials, seems to be a media favorite and really is a good player.

^ he will never be the frontrunner because his stats are way behind from those of Woody Co and Migs De Asis.

media favorite? nah... the media are already pitting Woody Co and Migs De Asis for this year's ROY race.

Either Co or De Asis will win. And yes, Co appears to be the media's favorite.

In that case I'd rather go with Woody Co, a gameface.ph featured player in the Tiong Lian league.

Eric Salamat was not used as much as De Asis or Co during the elims, reason behind his lower stats.. I'l go for Woody Co as he proved to be steadier and more versitile than De Asis.

jervy is a 20 yr old rookie transferee. this should disqualify him from the race.

no, not a transferee. he came from UST's team B. Sat out last year due to academic problems.

It has to be Woody Co. He has shown better all-around numbers than the other ROY candidates. And he's proven to be more consistent too.
