The final score was 67-76, losing to DLSU. This was the FMC 2006 Summer League game held this afternoon. The game was much, much closer than the score would indicate.

If this game can be used as a barometer of the Knights' chances for Season 82, I say you have a fair chance of successfully defending the title.

What caused your defeat here was your lack of a go-to-guy at end game coupled by DLSU's vaunted press. Getting into penalty early, at midway in the 4th made matters worse.

But in this game, Coach Alas didn't use Aban and Baustista. While DLSU had a full-strength line-up. Infact, even TY T@ang played, together with Casio, Marhoifer, Marko, Ilad, Villanueva. Completo ang key players ng DLSU.

Dikit ang laro. Letran was even up by 6 with about 5 minutes in the game, their biggest lead of the game. But turnovers at the backcourt turned the tide in favor of LaSalle. But if Bautista were there, I am sure hindi uubra yung press ng DLSU.

Consistent na yung execution niyo ng full court press. Buong laro. Nakakabilib yung hustle! What the NCAA opposition should worry most is Coach Alas has a deep "defensive-rotation" as displayed in this DLSU game. Except for 2 players, walang mismatch na nangyari. Mabilis dumating ang help defense, kung sakaling dehado sa ilang match-up situations.

If Aban and Bautista played, the results may have been different.

This was a good game by a team lacking 2 key players against a full strength DLSU.

Come NC, your main concern should be PCU and San Beda because of their tall frontline. These teams will not be gracious to give you second servings off your offensive boards. Pag nagmintis kayo, malabo ang second chance points.

With this type of a team, the key in retaining the title is effective full court pressure - all of 40 minutes and good shooting percentage. Pag nag-abot yang dalawa, di ako magugulat kung mag-champion uli kayo.
